Unfortunatley, i cannot place my 1.4mb files here on this server. :(
So, head on over to www.dragonlinux.nu where you should be.

I hope to have the bug fixes up this weekend, but not guarantees.
I got a new job this week, so things may slow down for a little while.
I will do my best to get that kernel up as soon as I can.
Then I can hopefully work on an incremental release that will address some of the other issues.
If something isn't working, please let me know.
Even if it's just the PPP. :)
It will motivate me to get it done or I will spend lots of time reading your e-mail. :)
Hopefully we can make this an even better distribution than it already is.

This is no longer the home of DragonLinux.
Offically, as of Feb. 1st, this site is nothing more than a mirror.
You should check out the new look and site over at www.dragonlinux.nu
It was done professionally, so I didn't have too much to do with the graphics or the HTML.
(It based on stuff I sent anyway)
This means that updates may not be as frequent, etc.
That's just because I can't update the page on a whim!
But, they have been very good with working with me so far, so I don't think it will even be an issue.
(It will give me more time to actually work on DragonLinux itself)
On the new site, we plan to implement a Web-based message board.
We hope to have a few other nice things as well.
(Look for reviews at www.linux.nu (I can't translate, heh) and perhaps a link at linuxburg.com soon as well)
Any questions, let me know.
Ohh, and don't bug me about the fact that I put Feb 1 as Wed. ok?

Whoa, new look today!
I will probbably change it again next week, but I had to show off the new logo that was created for me.
There were also a coulple of other logos which were very good, and I may yet incoporate them into the site.
For now, enjoy the look.
(Mainly just color changes)
More and better is on the way, and I won't be doing much of the HTML when the new server goes live, so I will have more time to work on DragonLinux itself.

In the middle of the night I updated the site.
I got rid of the directroy structure for now.
Hopefully I will have as many as three (3!!) mirrors working by the end of the week.
Two from users who e-mailed me, and I talked to my ISP who will be giving me some space to put the files up.
There will also be a new home for DragonLinux soon.
We are working on securing the domain name, and now it is just a matter of me getting the files to the right place.
I want to see if I can't get it up around the beginning of next month.
But I hate dates.
When the new site is ready to go, I will let you know.

Oh if I had a dollar for every problem I have had...
Having more server trouble.
I have at least two offers for server space.
One will actually become the new home of DragonLinux as soon as I can get the web page redone.
The other will be a nice little mirror site.
I hope to keep this site open as at least a thrid mirror, and the fact that just about everyone is pointed here of course...
Bugs.
Didn't take long, and there are already bugs.
Seems that PPP didn't get compiled into the IDE kernel.
I thought it was there, but I changed the kernels just before releasing. (always a stupid move hunh?)
DragonLinux .75 will probbably be out soon.
I'm thinking in a couple of weeks.
I will get the NEW Linux 2.2 kernel.
If I move fast enough, I will have one of the first distributions to use it.
But that is another story.. the new kernel is WAY different, and will be wierd to me.
(I played with it briefly, ipchains are a good thing... just... different.)
Also, .75 -should- have the documentation problem figure out as well.
I may end up putting back in the man pages for a while, and see how they work without groff...
In the end I will have a better solution, it is just very time consuming to create.
Sorry I haven't updated the news much, but once again life has gotten tricky for me.
If you will have questions about anything, drop us some mail.

Well, the nightmare up getting this uploaded seems to be over.
I have tested all the links on the download page, and they work.
If you will have touble, the files will soon be avaliable at another location.
As soon as I have verification that they exist, I will put up the links on the download page.
I am gonig to spend time on redesigning the entire site, and move it to a new home.
(To give you a hint, the upload to Xoom worked the first time, all the way through, while doing all kinds of things)
More on that later, for now, you should be able to enjoy DragonLinux v0.7.
Well, stop reading, go get it!

Well, the upload failed about 6 times.
I did get access to upload my other files, and the seprate archive will now be avaliable.
However, it is slightly larger as the RAR archiver for DOS doesn't compress as well as the 32-bit version for Windows.
The uploade should be finished around 7pm central time.
Enjoy, and for those who use netscape, I would reccomend grabbing Leech FTP and use the HTTP download option on it.
I will get the solid archive uploaded somehow.
The search for web space continues...

Uploaded new version today.
I am so frustrated words can not express it.
I am movin out of this web space as soon as I find something else.
(This weekend.)
Users have complained of problems downloading.
Now I am having trouble uploading.
When the new site is up, you will be able to find it here.
Hopefully the upload finishes this morning.
If it does not, you will have to wait a little bit longer for the release.
I do not have space to place the seprate disks on at this time.
This will be fixed this weekend as well.
I have been working at getting this version of DragonLinux up for many hours now.
This weekend there will be a new site, somewhere.
I am looking at getting on with more space, and hopefully no ads.
If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

I am such a liar. :)
I haven't uploaded the new release yet.
I have been cut off from the world since Dec 28th. (Long story)
I just got reconnected tonight/this morning.
(For those who are curious, it is 2:00AM Central time)
Looks like the new Linux kernel 2.2 is about to be released.
At this exact moment I am unsure if I should wait or just release what I have...
I have about 3 things left for the current release.
Basically it's adding in the current DragonHelp (the one you see online) and what to do about the fact that I don't want man pages.
(They are big, and groff, the program used to format them, takes about 3.5mb)
I have been looking at info files and other methods.
At this moment, I am unsure.
I do, however, have an X-Windows and C/C++ compiler how-to for the new version!
So, for those that waited, and to all who have helped me, thank you.
New release soon.
(I will no longer give out dates. Heh.)
I deeply apologize for delaying the release, but much of it is due to circumstances greatly out of my control.
(I did get home internet access now, and a floppy drive. YAY!)
Hope eveyone had a great holliday, and I wish you all a great new yeat.
